After aligners: the retention period

Get retainers to keep the result of bite correction for good — comfortable and invisible appliances.

Prices

The retention period lasts roughly twice as long as active treatment. A fixed retainer is a thin medical-steel wire on the inner surface of the teeth; a removable one is a clear night-time tray.

Benefits

  • Unobtrusive

A thin wire on the inside of the teeth is invisible and unnoticeable after a few days.

  • Works around the clock

A fixed retainer cannot be forgotten — the teeth are held in place constantly.

  • Rare check-ups

A check-up every six months is enough to inspect the retainer and confirm the result is stable.

Questions and answers

Do teeth get damaged under a metal retainer?

No. The retainer itself does no harm; what matters is cleaning around it and coming for professional hygiene.
